U-3ARC Webinar: Mastering Cold Chain Safety for a Healthier Environment

Why this theme?
With a rapidly growing population and rising demand for refrigeration, Africa must ensure cold systems are safe, clean, and sustainable. That calls for strict attention to hygiene, safety, and environmental protection.

Key focus areas included:

  • Ensuring safety for technicians and users by identifying and preventing risks (electrical, thermal, toxic, and more)
  • Adhering to international standards such as ISO 22000 (cold chain) and ISO 5149 (refrigeration safety)
  • Promoting green technology to address the influx of energy-hungry appliances across African markets

Main speaker Mr. Hammadi Ferjani (Tunisia) expertly shared best practices for building an efficient cold chain that protects both health and the planet. The session ended with an interactive quiz to assess participants' new knowledge, followed by recommendations for stronger commitment. A certificate will be awarded to the most deserving attendees.
