U-3ARC, Centro Studi Galileo and New Cold Akademy Seal RACHP Training Alliance at MCE Milan!

Milan (Italy), March 25, 2026 – On the sidelines of the international MCE – Mostra Convegno Expocomfort trade show in Milan, U-3ARC Vice-President Saïd El Harch, Madi Sakandé (New Cold Akademy), and Marco Buoni (Centro Studi Galileo) signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Union of African Associations of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Actors (U-3ARC), Centro Studi Galileo (CSG), and New Cold Akademy (NCA).

U-3ARC, Centro Studi Galileo and New Cold Akademy Seal RACHP Training Alliance at MCE Milan!

This agreement is the second partnership between U‑3ARC and Centro Studi Galileo, following the one signed in Tunis in 2024. It marks a significant step forward: European expertise is now establishing itself in the heart of Africa, with the creation of a technical hub in Ouagadougou, the headquarters of U‑3ARC and a strategic crossroads for the region.

A partnership to build African technical capacity

The ambition is clear: to raise the level of training for African technicians in a sector crucial to the energy transition and the development of the cold chain.

For Madi Sakandé, founder of New Cold Akademy, this alliance aligns with a transformative vision for Sub‑Saharan Africa. His center—equipped with advanced technologies and supported by African and international experts—has set out a structured roadmap:

  • training 250 basic refrigeration and AC technicians per year;
  • training 500 cold‑chain equipment users annually to improve food preservation;
  • training 1,000 AC equipment users for more efficient and responsible operation;
  • training and certifying 100 high‑level RACHP technicians each year to international standards;
  • providing tailored, industry‑specific training modules.

European expertise supporting African development

For Marco Buoni, CEO of Centro Studi Galileo, the partnership is strategic: “This is our second collaboration in Africa with U‑3ARC. Having a hub on the continent is essential, and Ouagadougou meets this need. We must be present alongside African professionals. Centro Studi Galileo is transferring thirty years of Italian RACHP expertise to Africa.”

According to Saïd El Harch, the agreement will help disseminate knowledge aligned with international standards, contributing to the professionalization of the sector.

This partnership strengthens U-3ARC's mission: uniting sector actors for a green transition amid Africa's growing demand for cold chain and climate infrastructure.
