European Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (RAC) professionals, gathered within AREA (Airconditioning & Refrigeration European Association), in conclave in Belfast, during their Spring General Assembly on Thursday 23 and Friday 24 May 2024, invited U -3ARC. For the record, U-3ARC and AREA (Air conditioning & Refrigeration European Association) recently signed an MoU.

It is a major partner for the African RAC sector. Indeed, AREA, which was created in 1989, defends the interests of 24 national associations from 22 countries, including 19 of the 27 EU Member States, representing 13,000 companies employing 110,000 people and whose annual turnover approaches 23 billion euros.

Be distinguish first sight

Mr Madi Sakandé, President U-3ARC, took advantage of his speech at the AREA Spring GA to emphasize the importance of partnership with such an association, in terms of collaboration capable of further magnifying the refrigeration sector through the world. In his opinion, such a partnership highlights the role played by the RAC sector, which is often overlooked, despite the essential role it plays.

The President of U-3ARC also launched an appeal so that the cold actor is recognized at first glance, like doctors and health personnel. “Given its importance, the refrigeration professional would benefit from having such uniqueness. ", he added. To the participants in the AREA Spring GA, he suggested a standard of clothing, with outfits, such as blouses or special overalls, which will distinguish refrigeration technicians all over the world. “Not only will this bring added value to our profession, but also remind us of its role in environmental protection, food self-sufficiency, particularly in Africa, and awareness of the dangers of flammable refrigerants, when they are used without precaution. » he concluded.

Note that the AREA Spring GA is punctuated by field visits, such as the one carried out on Thursday afternoon at the Titanic Museum in Belfast where the painting “UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL” for to say “Together we are stronger, Divided we are helpless”, inspired the president of U-3ARC who shared a thought, towards Africa and the Pan-African Union of National Associations of which he has the reins.
