U-3ARC- 2nd Successful Certification Session of African Refrigeration Technicians in Bologna

U-3ARC continues to strengthen the skills of RAC technicians and refrigeration engineers in Africa. In the premises of New Cold System, a second training session took place in Bologna in Italy, for 04 days from Monday 13 to Thursday 16 November 2023. There are 02 refrigeration technicians from Burkina Faso, 01 Moroccan, 01 Ugandan, 05 from the Democratic Republic of Congo, and 02 Rwandans, or 11 technicians who successfully completed this training which focused on F Gas and alternative refrigerants. But what’s an F-Gas certificate? A company must be F-Gas Company Certified to handle fluorinated greenhouse gases (also known as 'F-gases') regulated by the EU if it is serviced by the following types of equipment for other businesses; Stationary refrigeration systems that contain F-Gas.

Two qualified women technicians

For the first time, 02 women refrigeration engineers from Burkina Faso participated in this session and managed to obtain their Certificate in both fields. One of them, Ms. Halima Sawadogo, married and mother, is a chief warrant officer in the Burkinabè army and an entrepreneur. This is once again a good point for the sector in Africa. The fairer sex is active and taking chances.

Note that the enthusiasm of the continent's technicians, who are impatient to acquire new skills, is matched only by their commitment. Indeed, all participants contributed to the training by financing their travel and accommodation costs. For the president of U-3ARC, Madi Sakandé, it is an opportunity to congratulate and encourage them all.

A 3rd session is already scheduled from May 13 to 17, 2024 in Bologna. This time around twenty refrigeration technicians, among the first registered and authorized to participate, will be welcome. From now on, those who are interested will be able to register and begin the visa filing formalities which can sometimes be quite long and tedious.
