Senegal - U-3ARC President Meets with FENPROF Members

In RAC (Refrigeration, Air Conditioning) sector in Africa, Senegal has no intention of remaining behind. Legitimate battles are being waged, promises made to position such a vital sector in terms of food sovereignty and security, but also in sustainable and inclusive development. Alongside the Refrigeration Technicians, united within RENAFF, their counterparts recently created FENPROF (National Federation of Refrigeration Professionals of Senegal). This larger structure would encompass all the other associations stagnating in the sector. For several hours, Mr. Madi Sakandé, President of U-3ARC, held working sessions with several members of FENPROF. He congratulated them and offered encouragement. Their membership in U-3ARC and the effectiveness of their dues were also on the agenda.

A vital sector

This federation, headed by Mr. Babacar Mboup (unable to attend), Mr. Demba Diaw, Secretary General, Mr. Mamadou Ndiaye, Secretary General, and Mr. Dieng Dia, a key member of the Executive Board, gave the President of U-3ARC a tour of its own Training Center. It now remains for all these professionals to convince the country's authorities to place this vital sector at the heart of growth strategies. The parties agreed that the development of an integrated air conditioning and refrigeration industry, in perfect symbiosis between the State and the private sector, with the establishment of several refrigeration complexes across the country, would give a boost to the socio-economic development of Senegal.
