RTOC 2025 - U-3ARC President at Fall Meeting in China

In China, from October 26 to 30, 2025, Madi Sakandé, President of U-3ARC, participated in the Autumn Meeting of the United Nations RTOC (Refrigeration Technical Options Committee), where he is an International Expert-Consultant Member.

Following the RTOC 2025 Spring Meeting in Denmark, China hosted the Autumn Meeting.

During these highly valuable meetings, technical reports are prepared by the 43 members, who come from all over the world, for the United Nations. This wide range of experiences and the fact that the host country changes each time allows the United Nations to gain a better understanding of the realities of each participant. In fact, President of U-3ARC is considering holding similar events in Africa one day.

During his visit, President of U-3ARC met with the former President of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR), Mr. Jiang Yi. Given that our Chinese counterparts expressed a desire for closer ties with the continent during our discussions, I invited him to participate in the upcoming 1st International Conference for the Promotion of Refrigeration in Africa (CIVUFA), scheduled for November 12, 2025, in Ouagadougou. Furthermore, a Memorandum of Understanding is being drafted for collaboration between our two associations.It should be noted that the meeting in China was organized in collaboration with Sun Yat-sen University, Midea Group RAC Division, and the Chinese Association of Refrigeration (CAR).

We eagerly await our next meeting, scheduled for April 2026 in Japan.
